Gingham baby bedding has a classic, timeless look and has long been a favorite choice of moms to be. Gingham looks wonderful used all by itself but, it can also be combined with other prints or solid fabrics. You might want to try combining gingham with polka dots, toile or even stripes for a totally different look.
When I was expecting my daughter, I decorated her nursery in gingham. I chose yellow gingham, because in 1981, when my daughter was born, nobody knew the sex of their baby until it was born.
The great thing about knowing the sex of the baby before birth is you can choose to use neutral baby bedding or you can decorate for a boy or a girl if you want to.
Lots of baby bedding manufacturers offer bedding in gingham either as the main fabric or in combination with other fabrics.
My favorite bedding set that uses gingham as the main fabric is manufactured by Trend Lab.

I like a Moses basket instead of a bassinet because they are so much easier to move around.
You can also use the Moses basket for storage in the nursery after you baby is too big to sleep in it.
